DISCOVER THE UNIQUE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN A HORSE AND CHILD DURING THERAPEUTIC RIDING. IT IS A REWARD THAT WILL LAST A LIFETIME.
Reins of Hope at Le Bocage, a 501c3 non-profit, is a progressive therapeutic riding program accredited through the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship (PATH) International. Located in the center of Lake Charles, we proudly serve the Southwest Louisiana community and beyond. This program assists individuals with special needs in reaching their fullest potential utilizing a unique connection with the horse. These are some of the many benefits to adaptive riding:
* Increased Muscle Strength
* Improved Balance, Joint Mobility, and Coordination
* Improved Fine and Gross Motor Skills
* Increased warmth and relation to musculature
* Better Hand-Eye Coordination
* Improved posture
* Better brain organization of information
* Improved gait with 3-dimensional motion of pelvis
* Social skill development
* Alleviate anxiety and stress
* Encourage self-confidence
* And much more
At Reins of Hope, our equine-assisted activities are individually tailored to focus on specific issues for each client, providing life tools that will extend beyond the arena and into daily life. Whether it is a physical, emotional, educational, or social issue, horses do not see a disability or a diagnosis. Their non-judgmental hearts allow participants to grow past the confines of their challenges and into a more productive and healthy life.
We are so grateful for the support of our community, volunteers, and donors, who allow us to fulfill our program mission.
To register for therapeutic lessons, visit the Home Page, or call Jeanne Dennis, CTRI program coordinator, at 337-764-9523. For more information, email her at jeanne.dennis@lebocagestables.com.
