Jeanne Dennis, lead Instructor
Jeanne has a lifelong love of all things equestrian, gaining experience the old fashioned way... with trial and error. A horse owner since age 8, she has ridden many disciplines but finds English to be her favorite. Through the years, she has been blessed to work with wonderful horse individuals that have given her invaluable guidance and training.
A native of Baton Rouge, LA, Jeanne moved to Lake Charles, LA in 2005. She received her Nursing degree in 1987 and worked in Labor and Delivery for 13 years. In 2000, she took a break from her career to take care of her children. In 2008, after raising her 6 children, she returned to school and became a PATH International Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor; and in 2011, she was certified as an Equine Specialist in Mental Health and Learning. She worked in Lake Charles' Steeds of Acceptance and Renewal Therapeutic Riding program for several years, prior to being name Program Director of the Reins of Hope Therapeutic Riding Program at the Stable at Le Bocage. |
